18 Year-old Boy Abu Zar Faiz made history by winning Four Gold Medals in a Single National Sport Climbing Championship in 2022.
He is also the youngest Athlete to set Speed National Record of 7.31 second. He also has the Speed National record of Youth-B, Youth-A, Junior. He is the Only Speed Athlete in Pakistan to reach 5 Gold and 2 Silver Medals in National Championships since 2017.
Abu Zar’s passion for sport climbing began when he was only 4 years old. He was introduced to the sport by his father and they used to go for rock climbing mostly in Margallah Hills till the Alpine Club of Pakistan makes the National Speed Facility in 2017. Despite facing many challenges along the way, including a lack of resources and training facilities, Abu Zar remained determined to pursue his dream of becoming a professional sport climber. His hard work paid off in 2021 when he won the title of “Fastest Sport Climber of Pakistan” and was awarded this title by the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi. Since then, he has continued to dominate the sport setting multiple national records and winning numerous medals. Abu Zar’s success has not gone unnoticed. He has become a role model for aspiring sport climbers in Pakistan and has inspired a new generation of athletes to pursue their dreams. Abu Zar’s success is a testament to the power of determination, hard work, and perseverance. His journey to becoming a national champion was not easy, but he never gave up on his dream.
